Campbell Street Reconstruction - Fort Worth, Texas​

Campbell Street is a residential collector between Rosedale Street on the north end and E. Berry Street on the south, in the Polytechnic Empowerment Zone of Fort Worth. The project limits were from Crenshaw Avenue to Avenue K, included approximately 3,100 LF of residential collector street with curb and gutter, replacement of 600 LF water and 1200 LF wastewater main. Also included in this project 3,100 LF of sidewalk and ADA ramps, to accommodate pedestrian traffic to and from T.A. Sims Elementary School on the southern limits of the project. MV Engineering conducted multiple coordination meetings with Water Department and Transportation and Public Works Department to insure delivery of a seamless project for the City of Fort Worth.MV Engineering completed the following tasks: Prepared preliminary horizontal and vertical alignment to identify utility conflicts. Prepared construction plans and profiles including typical sections, drainage structures, retaining walls and utility relocations. Provided exhibits and supporting documents for several right-of-way and easement acquisitions. Provided exhibits and handouts for the public meetings and supported staff during the meetings. Prepared construction cost estimates, specifications and bid documents. Tabulated and reviewed the bids for accuracy, determined the lowest responsive bidder and recommended awarding the contract. Currently providing construction management support to the City staff.
